On Saturday {May 7th}

 I graduated from being a teenager

I'm not quite sure how I feel about having two decades of life already completed (I can't believe that it's been that long). But I do know that I'm really excited for the future things to come!

Presenting the class of 2011:

We had to meet early at the college to line up and make our way down to the Burns Arena. I was excited and nervous! It didn't feel like I was really graduating.

Being that it was Dixie State College's centennial year, the graduation ceremony was extra special!

The President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints {Thomas S. Monson} was the graduation speaker. 

It was really neat to hear the prophet speak in person! He did such a great job! He really is such a cute and funny guy! However it was kinda weird to clap after the prophet's speech.

I had several of my family come to the ceremony to support me! It was great to know that as I walked through the 'D' they were in the stands cheering me on!

I can't believe that I'm already done with my associates agree! It's crazy!! Now to decide what's next....

May Day!

May is easily my most favorite month in the year!

School gets out for summer....

Fun trips are had....

Cool people are born...

Seriously folks! May is the best!!

So hooray for the first day of May!!

Easter

Easter was great! 

Lindsay and Greg were passing through from a trip to California, so we were able to all celebrate together Sunday evening. 

My mom and dad hide GIANT eggs in the basement for the "kids" to hunt for. We each had four eggs of our own color to find. 

It took us some time to find all of the eggs because my tricky father hid them in really good places! But we had so much fun scurrying around the basement trying to find all of our eggs! (My dad claims he didn't know whose eggs were whose when he hid them... but I honestly think that they boys eggs were hidden a bit harder)

 Here we are celebrating with victory eggheads after finding and opening all of our eggs.

I thoroughly enjoyed my Easter!

Meet my new best friend:

Ashlynn

We both love flowers

We are both huge Tangled fans

And we both have Type 1 diabetes

Ashlyn is the sweetest little girl I've ever met!
She was just diagnosed at the beginning of April. And I truly believe that we were meant to meet each other.
We are dia-buddies and we make living with diabetes a little bit easier for one another.


We practice testing our blood sugar together,
We both like smarties for treating lows,
We have twin blood tester cases,
And Ashlynn even made me this awesome "Magic Circle Chart" just like hers for shots and finger pricks!

Diabetes can be such a hard thing to deal with daily and it's easy to get discouraged, but knowing that I now have Ashlynn watching me makes me want to be the best that I can!

I don't know if it is because of my love of cupcakes, or because of my love of spring....

Little Brother:

This is Magnificent Max-a-million
{Max for short}
He is my little brother.
I think he's pretty cute,
but he can also be pretty smelly.


We like to tease each other.
I tickle his paws
and blow in his face.
He bites my toes during prayers
and farts in my room.

He can be quite mischievous at times,

he's pro at begging,

he's our head of household security

and he likes to go outside and sun his nose.

I love when he'll cuddle with me,

when we have talks and he tilts his head to listen,
and when gets so excited when I come home.

He's the little brother I always wanted.

Just Some Confessions:

• I hate parking garages. They make me claustrophobic.
• Sometimes I like to listen to trashy pop music. (Like Kesha or Lady Gaga) Don't judge!
• I love to make things for others. But I usually talk myself out of giving these silly homemade gifts.
• Easter candy is my favorite. Speckled egg M&Ms and Starburst jellybeans. Yum!
• I hate to disappoint others. I'd much rather be hurt then know someone else is hurting!
• I love to sleep but I hate going to bed at night! Don't ask me why. I really don't understand it myself...
• I like watching Dateline NBC more then I like admitting it.
• I'm a pop-oholic. The carbonation is what gets me. I also know that it's so bad for me!
• I'm the worst at making decisions. It's truly horrible! I over-think everything!
• Breakfast is my favorite meal! Not only is it the "most important meal of the day" but it also has the best food choices!! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!
• I'm a procrastinator. I hate it! However, more often then not I wait till the last minute to do things.
• I like speed. Life is too short to go slow.
• Shoes are my weakness! For example - I got 8 new pairs over just this past Christmas break alone.
• I'm a dreamer. My mind is constantly daydreaming about grand plans for life.
• I wish I could grow young. Getting older is not always so great.

Will work for food...

I'm poor.

It's horrible!! I've found out that being grown-up is really quite expensive! And I'm not even having to pay for housing or food or medicine/insurance and such things yet!!


Anywho... my dear mother offered to pay me to make her some cards. She is a sweetheart because she knows how much I love crafting! So it feels like I should be paying her for giving me a legit reason to make cards!


She specifically requested that she needed baby and wedding cards. So I started off with making her a variety of baby cards. 


Basically I just used the same idea but changed the colors for the genders, but here are some pictures of what I've done so far.
